The secret to a perfectly organised gym wear wardrobe

Confession time. I have a lot of work out clothes. I mean A LOT. Yes, I’ll admit it: My name is Eloise, and I’m a legging addict! You see, in my opinion nothing beats a nice new gym outfit if you need some motivation to workout. And judging by the size of my gym wear wardrobe, I should be extremely motivated!

Despite recently moving house and having a massive clear out, my gym clothes still outnumber my ‘civvies’ 2 to 1. Fitness clothes had completely taken over my wardrobe so I had to come up with a system to keep it all in check.

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the secret to a perfectly organised gym wear wardrobe:

Yep, this humble little wardrobe hanging shelf tidy is the secret ingredient. It has 6 shelves, which is perfect because I usually aim to be active 6 days a week. So what I do is every Sunday evening, I look at my calendar and see what workouts I have scheduled for that coming week then I pick appropriate outfits. Something for Yoga on Monday, something for Parkrun on Saturday etc etc. Then I just put each outfit on its corresponding shelf and I’m good to go! The rest of my gym clothes live in a big box under the bed so they’re out of the way until I need them.

And the best thing about this is system is how super insanely easy it makes getting ready for the gym. Everything I need is just there waiting for me! I even put trainers and any accessories I might need, like running gloves or my sports watch, on the shelf along with the outfit so literally everything I need is in one place.

Not only has this solved the jumble of workout clothes in my wardrobe, but it has made getting ready a doddle too. And actually, this has turned out to be the biggest benefit. It’s so much easier to find the motivation to go work out when everything you need is ready and waiting for you.

So there you have it, the secret to a perfectly organised gym wear wardrobe! If you’re ready to give this a try, you can grab a hanging shelf here.

If you try it, comment and let me know how it goes! And if you already have your own system, I’d love for you to tell me about it in the comments section.
